Josh Atlas's original drawings grace the cover of Past Simple / 8. Atlas was born in Brooklyn in 1983. He took his first high school art class at age 15, as a requirement. Once he realized that art class had hot girls, he decided to stick around for a few more semesters. Maybe thats why his parents were confused about his sudden conviction to attend art school. In 2005, he received his BFA in Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon University. One year later, he left Pittsburgh to join William Pope.L's Black Factory tour and then on to New York, where he was thoroughly defeated. Josh currently lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.
